It’s dark and the camera apparently doesn’t have a night mode, so the entire thing is grainy and unfocused. There’s a scene where the girls are being filmed going on stage and the quality is straight-up terrible.Furirin says “Kanako” instead of “King” or “Kinchan” in one scene :O.If you take a shot every time someone does a “ganbaruby”, you’ll probably end up with alcohol poisoning.Shown briefly in the preview on YouTube IIRC, but there’s a really nice and long scene of Rikyako and Shukashuu messing around during rehearsal for Nagoya.I found the practice footage to be the most interesting part of the 1L BD, so I was a bit disappointed when I found that so little of this was in the 2L BD. ![]() A lot of scenes had the cameraman just standing and recording the goddamned mini-screen backstage that showed what was happening onstage during the live (like wtf, we have HQ footage of the live so why is this even a thing) or giving us poorly-lit and shaky shots of the backs of the girls dancing during the live (we have FOUR discs of footage that shows them from THE FRONT…why is this a thing again?). Unfortunately, like Disc 5 it suffered the issue of having what felt like unnecessary footage included. This backstage footage is a whopping 38 minutes long and has plenty of funny and touching moments from the cast. I would’ve much rather had the footage from the Kobe performance of “Sunshine Pikkapika Ondo”, as that was where Anchan drummed so energetically that she broke her taiko sticks…ĭisc 6 has the intermission PVs (the ones with the animated chibis) plus behind-the-scenes footage. ![]() To be quite honest, while I’m glad that we got to have the subunit MCs in Disc 5, including the A-side performance seemed a bit unnecessary since those were on the setlist for Saitama Day 2. I proceeded to □ really hard because Shukashuu has a really nice (but short) dance solo in “Sora mo Kokoro mo Hareru kara”, and she was very dashing as a dance partner in “G Senjou no Cinderella”. the A-side and B-side of the second subunit singles) from the Nagoya leg (as the B-side was cut from the set list of both days of the Saitama leg). “G Senjou no Cinderella”) from the Kobe leg, and the full subunit performances (i.e. :\ĭisc 5 is the “Tour Digest”, which contains special performances from previous legs: the year trio songs (e.g. I suppose there was nothing they could do about that, but it was still quite jarring to see so many unfocused shots in a BD. Those screens created glare and caused the camera to lose focus even when they weren’t turned on. After some thinking, I realized it was because of the LED screens behind the seiyuu. just the head + torso of a seiyuu is in the frame). However, the camera gets blurry whenever there’s a mid-close-up shot (i.e. The zoomed-out shots and random pans to the audience I can sorta forgive until I get around to watching Day 2 - if this will be like the 1L BD, the first day usually focuses on group shots while the second day has more close-ups. Not sure if this will be reflected in the Day 2 footage, but the Day 1 footage is kinda…lacking in quality compared to the 1st Live BD. I’ve only watched 1~2 so far as that’s the Day 1 footage - since I’ve already seen Saitama Day 2 (twice, in fact - I went to two DVs in one day), Day 1 was far more interesting to me. Discs 1~4 contain the footage from Saitama (the final leg of the tour). Just like the 1L BD, you open up the cases to reach the even-numbered discs in the back. ![]() My favorite is the Shukajump in “Thrilling One Way”, haha. I suppose they sacrificed quality for quantity here - I feel like the 1L photobook had slightly bigger pictures (though that could be my bias speaking on behalf of a particularly nice and big solo shot of Shukashuu in her AoJump outfit in there). The pictures are pretty tiny, though that’s because there’s a whole bunch of them. There’s also a “Special” section that has miscellaneous photos from backstage. The photobook is jam-packed with pictures, divided up by songs. The box itself is nice and glossy, with the feature illustration of the Aqours gals from the HPT tour promotional image. My copy of the 2L BD memorial box arrived on Thursday! It includes a photobook with photos from each leg, and six discs of footage from the Saitama leg plus bonus footage from the other legs and backstage.
